We don’t settle until we give our best and know that we’re making a difference.As a facilities mechanical engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our client’s semiconductor-based manufacturing. You and other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity including assessment of systems, consulting system owners and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders. As a Mechanical Engineering Professional, you will be responsible for interacting with the client, contractors, and site personnel in Wilton, Connecticut. Your job includes designing, developing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD), scope of work (SOW) documents, in addition to design, construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team. You will also oversee engineering and construction for the facility mechanical systems work including HVAC, process cooling water, wastewater, general and acid/ammonia exhaust, fire protection, plumbing, process-piping and equipment. The work will include retrofits of existing building systems, as well as new systems. Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited universityAt least 10 years of practical application of mechanical facilities design engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systemsAt least 5 years of design project delivery processes experienceAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experienceSolid knowledge and application of the mechanical requirements per ASME and ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes, and other related standards, such as ASHRAESolid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and componentsExperience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specificationsField experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnelIdeally, you’ll also have:EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure5 years of experience as a facility engineerWorking knowledge of design-related deliverables, such as P&IDs, PFDs, Details, and Equipment Plans, etc.Proficient working knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM360Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsForward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideasAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsPassionate about buildings and constructionOther Requirements:Location:This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Wilton, CT.
