The Continuous Improvement and Quality Manageris responsible fordriving operational excellence, strengthening quality systems, and leading initiatives that reduce waste, improve processes, and elevate product or service performance. This positionis responsible forquality assurance related to the production of aluminumcastproducts consistent with customer requirements, industryspecificationsand standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leads theGreenvilletotal quality responsibility to includebut not limited toQuality Management System (QMS)andproduct quality.Leads and partnerswith the operations team onidentifyingopportunities, problemsolvingforupset conditions, and completing corrective actions to internal and external customers ina timelyfashion.Being the representativethat understandsthe voice of the customer anddesigningprocesses to meet their needs.Responsible forresponding toInternal Auditfindings.Responsible for leading customer audits.Familiar with Lean techniques and ability totake direction from Pennex strategic approach.UsesLean Tools, Statistical Techniques and analytical methods to achieve effective problem solving, root cause discovery and corrective action.Provides technical leadershipofprocess improvement andmaintainingprocess checks for ensuring product qualityincluding electronic records.Responsible forthe development of qualityobjectivesnecessary to support Key Result Area (KRA) plans.Manages and coordinates the Returned Material Authorization (RMA) and Customer Complaint Notification (CCN) activities with input from Sales, Customer Service and Manufacturing groups.Assists?in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality?systems?and programs which define processes?relative?to creating?product?that?meets?or exceeds?customers?quality expectations. Responsible for site escalation for product quality.Performs other duties as assigned.?Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree (B. S./B. A.) in a related technical field from four-year college or universityFive or moreyearsmanufacturingquality leadership experiencerequired.Aluminum Casting experience preferredExperience with Quality ManagementSystemand implementationExperience with Statistical tools and Lean Manufacturing principlesRequired Skills/Abilities:ISO Experience/ IATF?preferred?ERP/MRP?experience?required. D365 is preferred?Lean or Six Sigma certification?is preferred?A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment?Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills?Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments?Flexible and driven to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately?Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectivelydisseminateinformation?in a clear and concise manner?Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental?regulations?Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers,?vendorsand employees?of the organization?Ability to create perform data analysis; define problems, collect data,establishfacts, use of pareto/ runchart toidentifyleading indicators. Problem solving to restore the?standard.
