Micro Assembly TechnicianNiagara Falls, NY Job Summary The Micro Assembly Technician performs electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks to support production units, prototype development, and preproduction operations. This role involves working from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components. Responsibilities include using standard electronic assembly tools and materials, performing modifications and rework, and conducting quality testing. The position requires close collaboration with development and manufacturing engineering teams. Job Responsibilities Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components using microscopes and precision tools. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and verbal instructions to build assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform modifications, rework, and quality testing as needed. Utilize standard electronic assembly tools and materials. Collaborate with engineering personnel during development and production processes.Job Requirements Proficiency in using a microscope for component assembly. Strong visual acuity and attention to detail. Experience working with miniature precision devices and components.Desired Skills Experience in ISO or clean room environments. Skilled in assembling miniature parts into assemblies (e.g., watchmaking, jewelry, medical devices, hybrid microelectronics, accelerometers, gyros). IPC J-STD-001 solder certification. Knowledge of electronic assembly and electrical testing.Education High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.Work Experience Previous experience in micro-assembly or related precision assembly roles.
