Job Summary:The Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides financial leadership and oversight for the organization during a transitional period. This role manages financial operations, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and supports executive decision-making. The Interim CFO oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance. This position is responsible for maintaining financial stability and supporting the transition to a permanent CFO.This role will work a sporadic and fluctuating schedule.Job Duties:Manages all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reportingOversees preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reportsDevelops and implements financial policies, procedures, and internal controlsManages cash flow, treasury, and banking relationshipsEnsures compliance with regulatory requirements and supports external auditsAdvises leadership on financial strategy and risk managementLeads and mentors finance team membersCoordinates with other departments to support organizational objectivesPresents financial results and recommendations to executive leadershipSupports transition planning and knowledge transfer to permanent CFOOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:N/AQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, requiredMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, preferredExperience:Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in financial management, requiredThree (3) or more years in a senior financial leadership role, requiredExperience in interim or transitional executive roles, preferredExperience in public accounting or professional services, preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s):Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferredChartered Financial Analyst (CFA), preferredSoftware:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, requiredExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), preferredOther Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead and motivate teamsHigh level of integrity and professionalismAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with executive leadershipIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $75.00/hr - $105.00/hrNYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $75.00/hr - $105.00/hrMaryland Range: $75.00/hr - $105.00/hrAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other classification protected by law.
