Come join us as we push forward into the future of industry leading technological solutions.As a Disaster Recovery Co-Op on Berkley Technology Services (BTS) Disaster Recovery team, you’ll gain experience in an area of IT that is used in every company and essential to the function of our organization. You will also get exposure to numerous other areas of our team including Financial Applications, Database, Middleware, Security, DevOps and more. You will also have a key hand in updating and building out the Disaster Recovery strategy and implementation for both on premise platforms and cloud apps. The intern program provides highly motivated and qualified students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and heighten business knowledge. Intern students will collaborate side by side with BTS employees in a variety of positions to complete challenging projects. Students will interact with all levels of management and senior leaders, and gain insight into business and technology in the insurance industry. Key functions will include but are not limited to:Help create new/missing disaster recovery runbooksWork with teams who need updates runbooksOversee Everbridge - learning the tool, updating documentation, updating users and troubleshooting issues within itHelp create DR testing schedule for 2024Attend oversight meetings with BCPAssist the team with application upgradesAssist with EAM support tasksAssist in creation and implementation of DR StrategyKnowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and MS Office ProductsFulfill tasks related to a SharePoint cleanup items related to the overall SharePoint Migration projectFulfill tasks related to the pre-development of “Modern Pages” for SharePoint also related to the overall SharePoint Migration projectWorking knowledge of Microsoft ExcelFulfill analytical & update tasks related to DR Program inventory and Wintel platform inventoryFulfill analytical & update tasks related other, critical DR Program documentationAbility to work in a remote office situation without direct daily supervision. Self-starter with a good work ethic.Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals and teams.Proven track record of working in a fast paced and dynamic production environment managing multiple priorities.Working towards a degree or equivalent with emphasis in computer science or related field; or equivalent combinationof education and experiencePursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a similar fieldAt least two years of college or university coursework completed1 or more prior internship experience is requiredWorks well in a team environment and productive without constant supervisionSuperior communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsBasic knowledge of or experience with SQL preferredExperience with scripting in some language and desire to learn more is preferredAggressive curiosityDesire to learn.
