The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Superintendent to lead and manage large-scale construction projects. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility to completion, developing project strategies, plans, and budgets, and assembling qualified project teams. The role also involves scheduling, coordinating, and supervising craft employee activities, which may include supervising various trade groups (electricians, boilermakers, and carpenters) in different construction disciplines such as, civil, structural, electrical.Walbridge is looking for Superintendents thatknowhow to andloveto build! LocationThis long-term project is near Saline, MI. However, we are seeking individualshighly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.Your key responsibilitiesProject Planning and Strategy:Plan and supervise construction activities, including determining methods,manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.Ensure workcomplies withdrawings, specifications, and schedules.Team Leadership:Coordinate work with different crafts, departments, or contractors.Resolve construction problems andmaintaincommunication with unions.Resource Management:Monitorcompliance with safety programs and document corrective measures.Ensure materials, equipment, and inspectionssupportproject schedules.Stakeholder Engagement:Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address any concerns1.Performance Monitoring:Track project progress through metrics and reporting, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or challenges.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and compliance regulations.Innovation and Improvement:Continuously seek ways tooptimizeprocesses and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies.To qualify for the role, you must haveA high school diplomaor equivalent,and eight(8) +years supervisory experience in similar facility constructiontechnology, commercialor industrial projects.Must have experience working on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $50M.A valid driver’s license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%.Ideally,you’llalso haveAdvanced understanding of constructionschedulingand cost control.Experience supervising,motivatingand mentoring cross-functional teams.Successful backgroundmaintaininghigh safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.Skills and attributes for successExperience inidentifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.Successful background inmaintaininghigh safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.Excited to make an impact?
