This role provides hands-on exposure to building operations, maintenance projects, renovations, vendor coordination, and compliance activities across occupied facilities.Required QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in:Facilities ManagementConstruction ManagementEngineeringArchitectureBusiness Management or related fieldStrong organizational and time-management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staffDetail-oriented with a strong willingness to learnComfortable working in active facility environmentsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety)Experience using CMMS or work order systemsBasic understanding of building codes or OSHA safety practicesPrior internship or coursework related to facilities or constructionCore CompetenciesAttention to detailTeam collaborationProfessional communicationProblem-solvingAdaptability in a dynamic environmentTime and task managementPhysical / Work Environment RequirementsAbility to walk building sites and mechanical spacesAbility to lift up to [X] lbs (if applicable)Ability to work in occupied facilities with minimal disruptionKey ResponsibilitiesAssist Facilities Project Managers with planning and execution of facility and infrastructure projectsSupport coordination of maintenance, repair, and minor renovation projectsTrack work orders, project schedules, milestones, and close-out documentationAssist with contractor and vendor coordination (scheduling, access, documentation)Help maintain project documentation, including drawings, permits, inspection reports, and meeting minutesParticipate in site walks, inspections, and punch-list developmentAssist with material tracking, purchase orders, and cost documentationSupport compliance with safety, building codes, and regulatory requirementsUpdate spreadsheets, CMMS systems, and project tracking toolsCommunicate with internal stakeholders regarding project status and facility impactsLearning & Development OpportunitiesReal-world exposure to facilities and building lifecycle managementUnderstanding of preventive maintenance, capital planning, and building systemsExperience working with contractors, engineers, and operations teamsIntroduction to safety standards, inspections, and regulatory complianceDevelopment of project coordination and organizational skills
