Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable)

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant specializing in Accounts Payable to join our team in Rancho Dominguez, California. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and hands-on experience in managing vendor relationships, payment processing, and month-end close activities. As part of our team, you will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor management, and payment runs. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other month-end closing activities. u2022 Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Handle vendor tax documentation and ensure compliance with 1099 filings and W-9 requirements. u2022 Maintain and track fixed asset schedules, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset disposal. u2022 Collaborate with team members to support audits and provide documentation as required. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems such as NetSuite, Acumatica, or Sage Intacct to manage financial data. u2022 Generate reports and analyze financial data using Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas. u2022 Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing efficient accounting practices. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards in all financial operations. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 2u20134 years of detail-oriented experience in accounting or finance roles. u2022 Proficiency in full-cycle Accounts Payable processes and vendor management. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations. u2022 Advanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and data organization. u2022 Familiarity with mid-market accounting systems such as NetSuite, Acumatica, or Sage Intacct. u2022 Understanding of 1099 compliance and vendor tax documentation requirements. u2022 Exposure to managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
