Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will provide quality assurance support to product development and manufacturing teams. You will be responsible for resolving problems, defects, and ensuring products meet specifications. Your role will involve designing, developing, and enhancing test processes and reporting for quality assurance, as well as generating and maintaining quality reports for management. Responsibilities + Support product development and manufacturing teams by resolving quality issues. + Design, develop, and enhance test processes and quality assurance reporting. + Generate and maintain quality reports for management, highlighting KPIs and areas for improvement. + Establish quality performance metrics to prevent issues preemptively. + Manage all testing efforts across projects and tasks. + Conduct SPC and Gauge R&R studies. + Mentor and provide training assistance to QA personnel. + Develop and maintain standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. + Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor adherence to quality standards. + Investigate product quality problems, determine root causes, gather and analyze data, and implement corrective actions. + Perform process capability studies to increase control and decrease total quality costs. + Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality. + Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, and testing of products to assure quality. + Review design documentation for compliance with requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. + Perform manual inspection layouts and utilize test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM. + Generate programs for CMM inspections. + Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and lead the corrective action program. Must have: + ISO 9001 + Audit + Quality Inspection + Test + 8+ years of experience Nice to have: + Experience with firearms + GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) + CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) + Gauge R&R (Repeatability and Reproducibility) + Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and vision systems Work Environment This role is based in an onsite automated manufacturing environment. You will have your own desk space but will spend the majority of your time on the floor interacting with products and colleagues. The facility is brand new and equipped with state-of-the-art automation equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
