Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed. Administers medications and performs treatments according to policy and training. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Produces accurately written and promptly completed medical records for each patient. Maintains authenticity and security of medical records, following prescribed processes for amending documents. Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in therapeutic cardiac and electrophysiology laboratories. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds in hospital per policy. Provides training for procedures within their competency and assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and documents activities as needed. Participates in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
