About the Role: As a CBRE Technical Manager, youu2019ll play a pivotal role inshaping how the workplace performs and feels. What Youu2019ll Do: Provide formal supervision and leadership to digitalengineering staff, including onboarding, training, development, performanceevaluations, succession planning, and hiring to build a highu2011performing, futureu2011readyteam. Coordinate and manage the teamu2019s daily activities byestablishing work schedules, prioritizing assignments, and crossu2011training staffto ensure operational continuity, responsiveness, and technical depth acrossall building systems. Oversee operations and maintenance for assigned facilities,including planning and supporting operating and capital budgets, identifyinglifecycle investments, and aligning resources to maximize system performanceand reliability. Lead Building Automation System (BAS)integrations ,ensuring seamless connectivity across HVAC and building systems to supportcentralized monitoring, control, and optimization of building performance. Leverage historical, realu2011time, andtrending data from BAS and related systems to analyze building performance, anticipate HVACand system needs, and deliver datau2011driven, predictive recommendations that enhance energy efficiency and improve occupant comfort. Identify system inefficiencies and proactively recommendand prioritize repairs and upgrades that reduce energy consumption, extendasset life, and support sustainability and energyu2011management goals. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive andpredictive maintenance programs, ensuring documentation, safety procedures, andbuildingu2011specific manuals are accurate, current, and actionable. Coordinate maintenance and improvement efforts withexternal contractors, vendors, and technical specialists to ensure qualityexecution, compliance, and minimal disruption to onu2011site operations. Oversee and ensure optimal performance of all buildingsystems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/lifeu2011safety systems,while staying current with emerging technologies and smartu2011building solutions. Maintain clear, consistent communication with tenants,clients, owners, vendors, and the facility management team to alignexpectations, share insights, and deliver a bestu2011inu2011class workplace experience. Support the acquisition of new management contracts andmaintain accurate asu2011built drawings, system documentation, and operationalrecords. Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns withurgency and professionalism, applying technical expertise and sound judgment toresolve issues efficiently. Lead by example, modeling behaviors aligned with CBRE RISEvalues, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuousimprovement, and innovation. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve daily operationalchallenges and moderately complex system issues, applying technical expertiseand crossu2011functional knowledge to drive sustainable solutions. What Youu2019ll Need: Bacheloru2019s degree preferred with 3u20135 years of relevantexperience, or an equivalent combination of education and handsu2011on technicalexperience. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building operations,and how building performance impacts energy efficiency, reliability, andoccupant comfort. Demonstrated experience with Building Automation Systems(BAS) or Building Management Systems (BMS), including how these systemsfunction, integrate, and generate operational and performance data. Working knowledge of data structures and system dataoutputs, with the ability to interpret historical, realu2011time, and trending datato support operational decisions, predictive insights, and energy optimizationinitiatives. Experience leveraging digital tools and platforms toanalyze building and system performance; experience with Microsoft Azure orcloudu2011based data environments is a plus. Proven experience in staffing, coaching, mentoring, andperformance management, with the ability to lead technical teams effectively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translatetechnical information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiencesincluding engineers, vendors, clients, and nonu2011technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Highly organized and inquisitive mindset, with a continuousu2011improvementapproach to problemu2011solving, technology adoption, and operational excellence. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Washington Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidateu2019s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Technical Manager position is $100, 000 annually and the maximum salary for the Technical Manager position is $110,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidateu2019s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBREu2019s applicable benefit program.
