Job Title- Field Services Engineer Job Location- Onsite- Mount Holly, NC, USA _Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future_ The Field Support Representative u2013 Level 1 provides onsite and deskside IT support services to ensure seamless operation of endu2011user computing, manufacturing, and lab environments. This role focuses on Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC), breaku2011fix support, asset lifecycle management, and handsu2011on infrastructure assistance. The position requires strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and OEMs in a fastu2011paced enterprise and manufacturing setting. In this role, you will + Provide onsite deskside IT support, including Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC), breaku2011fix, and endu2011user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals. + Deliver manufacturing, lab, and shopu2011floor IT support, including handhelds, scanners, tablets, and PCs connected to specialized manufacturing or test equipment, while adhering to clean room and operational standards. + Perform system staging, build, imaging, and configuration using standard enterprise images (e.g., eCore), and support data collection, migration, and eDiscovery activities. + Provide Smart Hands and Feet support, including rack and stack, commissioning/decommissioning of infrastructure devices, and physical access coordination for vendors in data centers, server rooms, and IDF/MDF/MMR locations. + Support network, connectivity, and collaboration services, ensuring availability of LAN, Wiu2011Fi, voice, video conferencing, and printer services, and coordinating cable patching and vendor activities as required. + Assist with data center and infrastructure operations, including power shutdown/startup activities, network device and server handling, and adherence to change and maintenance procedures. + Manage printer and peripheral services, including usage monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors to ensure continuity of print services. + Execute IT asset lifecycle management for the assigned location or region, including asset collection, secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates. + Collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and OEMs to resolve highu2011priority issues, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure high service quality with strong attention to detail. What youu2019ll need to succeed (required skills) + Minimum 2 years of deskside or field support experience in an enterprise environment. + Experience supporting manufacturing, lab, or shopu2011floor IT systems and devices. + Familiarity with IT equipment such as scanners, printers, tablets, handhelds, and PCs used in production or testing environments. + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems . + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic business applications. + Basic knowledge of networks, telecom, compute, and storage technologies . + Basic knowledge and handsu2011on experience with mobile device support . + Exposure to server support and advanced Microsoft technologies is an advantage. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
