Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Description As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in system drafting, engineering, and support. Your primary focus will be designing skids in AutoCAD Electrical based on sold jobs, ensuring system accuracy, and compliance with UL508A standards. You will collaborate with applications and sales teams to develop engineering solutions and provide necessary electrical designs and calculations. Responsibilities + Design skids in AutoCAD Electrical based on sold jobs, ensuring system accuracy by comparing Electrical Line/GA Drawings with P&ID drawings. + Collaborate with applications and sales teams to develop engineering solutions. + Provide necessary power drop and load calculations/single line drawings for system designs. + Work with OEM vendors and ensure UL508A design compliance. + Provide necessary notes and instructions to ensure fabricators build within NEC standards. + Work with drafters and panel shop supervisors to complete as-built drawings per markups on tested equipment. + Complete revisions of drawings per customer markups and coordinate with sales/AE's for scope support changes or engineering solutions. + Provide electrical engineering support, including supporting panel shop supervisors, electrical integration design, and field electrical support. + Assist AE's/Sales in developing their S&E's and participate in electrical inspection and testing. Essential Skills + 4-5 years AutoCAD design experience, preferably designing control panels. + Ability to identify and read electrical schematics. + Electrical Engineering degree or similar. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the wastewater/fluid handling industry. + PLC experience. + Knowledge of three-phase motors, 240v, 120v systems. + Experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roselle, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr.
