Project Manager

Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description The Project Manager is a seasoned on-site construction leader responsible for managing daily field operations during the construction phase of EPC projects. This role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contract documents and drawings. The Site Manager coordinates subcontractors, enforces quality and safety standards, manages site documentation, monitors progress and costs, and maintains clear communication with the Project Manager and project stakeholders. The position demands strong field leadership, sound judgment, accountability for safety and finances, and the ability to professionally represent the company while traveling and working extended schedules as project demands require. Responsibilities + Oversee daily field operations during construction phases of EPC projects. + Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. + Coordinate subcontractors and enforce quality and safety standards. + Manage site documentation, monitor progress and costs. + Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager and project stakeholders. + Represent the company professionally while traveling and working extended schedules. Essential Skills + 5-10+ years of experience in project and construction management. + Proficiency in Procore. + Experience with substation, utility, or linework construction projects. + Ability to run job site day-to-day independently, including QA/QC, interpreting drawings, understanding scope of work, schedule management, identifying cost risks, and documentation. + Experience in communication with project managers, EPCs, owners, inspectors, utilities, vendors, and subcontractors. + Knowledge of power systems relevant to EPC projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications + OSHA 30 or OSHA 100 certification. + Previous experience with substation, utility, or linework construction projects. Work Environment The position is based in the Grayslake, Illinois area, with a mix of on-site and remote work. A trailer is available on-site for work purposes. Ideally, candidates should live within an hour or two of Grayslake. Initial training and team meetings will occur in Georgia, with all expenses paid for travel. Standard working hours are five 10-hour days from Monday to Friday, with weekends off. This position is salary exempt. Company vehicle provided and per diem available if needed. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Grayslake, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $94000.00/yr.
