Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Chilton, Wisconsin. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing invoice processing and payment workflows. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify incoming invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding. u2022 Perform check runs and manage payment schedules to meet deadlines. u2022 Review and code invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth payment operations. u2022 Generate reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities. u2022 Assist with monthly closing processes to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling financial documents. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in processing and coding invoices accurately. u2022 Familiarity with managing check runs and payment schedules. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to handle vendor communication professionally and resolve issues efficiently. u2022 Experience with accounting software and systems. u2022 Knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures. u2022 Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
