Installation Technician

Job Title: Installation Technician Job Description This role involves the layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts necessary for body mounting. The ability to use overhead chain hoists, forklifts, handcarts, and various hand and power tools is essential. Responsibilities + Layout, wire, and mount hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies. + Set up and operate machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts. + Utilize overhead chain hoists, forklifts, and handcarts effectively. + Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Essential Skills + Six months of experience with heavy installation, preferably on vehicles. + Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls, and wiring. + Basic math skills for machine setup and operation, measurement, and problem solving. + Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred experience with hand plasma and wire feed welding. + Ability to pick, push, and move objects up to 50 lbs. + Capability to bend, twist, carry, work overhead, kneel, crouch, and climb. + Standing on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes throughout the shift. Work Environment The work takes place in a large open factory/plant floor with dim lighting due to welding stations. The facility is equipped with large overhead cranes and good ventilation. Expect a heavy industrial atmosphere with exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, cramped quarters, and possibly wet conditions. Physical requirements include the ability to climb ladders and use creepers under chassis. Steel-toed shoes are required throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
