Machinist

Job Title: Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. This role involves setting up Mill-turn machines, checking parts for quality, coaching fellow machinists, and performing some programming directly at the machine. This is a direct placement opportunity available for night shifts or weekend days. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain low scrap rates and be familiar with various CNC control systems. Responsibilities + Set up Mill-turn machines efficiently and accurately. + Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards. + Coach and mentor other machinists on best practices. + Perform programming tasks directly at the machine. + Maintain low scrap rates and optimize production processes. Essential Skills + Experience with setup on Lathes, Mills, or specific experience with the relevant machinery. + Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, CNC mills, and CNC lathes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic calculations using simple math. + Proficient knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T. + Advanced programming skills at the controller level. + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
