Product Development Engineer III Job Description: We are seeking a Product Development Engineer III to develop new concepts from initial design to market release, with limited support. The role involves designing and implementing new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products to bring concepts to market. This includes essential product and process documentation with minimal oversight, executing protocols and reports to support validation activities, and conducting product and process characterization to ensure functionality. Responsibilities: + Develop new product concepts from initial design to market release. + Design and implement new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products. + Document and support validation activities, including Design Verification. + Conduct product and process characterization to determine functionality. + Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of product development. + Conduct risk analysis for products under development. + Coordinate activities with outside suppliers and consultants to meet scheduled timelines. Essential Skills: + Experience with medical device design and development (2-4 years required). + SolidWorks 3D CAD proficiency. + Experience with Design Verification, Design Validation, and design control. + Knowledge of human cardiac and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. + Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans. + Familiarity with FDA QSR and ISO medical device regulations. + Knowledge of catheter-based technologies and reinforced shaft, delivery systems, and steerable catheters. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering is desired. + Previous experience in a similar role will be considered in lieu of a degree. + Experience with leading rapid design iteration and making design recommendations. + Proficiency in probability and statistics and familiarity with statistical software such as Minitab is preferred. + Depth of knowledge in technical areas such as finite element analysis. + Ability to interact with clients and companies in a professional manner. + Customer focus with excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Work Environment: This role is on-site and requires collaboration within a growing contract manufacturer known for its fun and hard-working culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
