General Production Worker

Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Production Technician to support the production of blue cheese in a food-grade facility. This role involves hands-on work in various stages of the cheese-making process, including ingredient preparation, cutting, wrapping, packaging, and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a cool, damp environment and is flexible in supporting both production and warehouse operations. Responsibilities + Assist in mixing ingredients and preparing cheese batches according to specifications. + Cut, wrap, and package cheese products with precision and care. + Label and prepare finished goods for shipping and distribution. + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations. + Support warehouse operations, including inventory handling and organization. + Participate in routine preventative maintenance of production equipment. + Follow all safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards. Essential Skills + Production experience + General labor and assembly skills + Familiarity with cleanroom and machine operation + Packaging and inspection skills + Knowledge of GMP and food manufacturing practices + Experience with machine operation and troubleshooting + Mechanical aptitude Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in food production or manufacturing preferred. + Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. + Flexibility to assist in different areas of production and warehouse as needed. The role requires standing for extended periods and handling materials manually. Candidates should be prepared to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic machinery. The position operates on a 1st Shift from 7am-3:30pm and involves working across three main departments: Production Teams, Packaging Department, and Shipping and Receiving.
