Medical Biller/Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role focuses on managing accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and overseeing payment processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee accounts receivable activities, including managing payment records and ensuring accuracy. u2022 Process and reconcile cash receipts efficiently while maintaining up-to-date financial records. u2022 Conduct follow-up inquiries on outstanding payments to ensure timely resolution. u2022 Prepare and review month-end financial reports to maintain balanced accounts. u2022 Perform data entry tasks with precision to update patient and billing information. u2022 Utilize Epic systems for hospital billing processes and data management. u2022 Apply medical terminology knowledge to ensure proper billing and coding. u2022 Provide exceptional customer care by addressing billing inquiries and resolving issues. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing operations and optimize workflows. u2022 Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and practices in all billing activities. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing or collections. u2022 Proficiency in Epic EMR and Epic Hospital Billing systems. u2022 Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing practices. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management abilities. u2022 Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. u2022 Exceptional communication and customer service skills. u2022 Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations.
