AWS DevOps Engineer

AWS DevOps Engineer Experience: 8+ years Location: Remote Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong programming fundamentals, deep experience with cloud-native technologies, and a passion for automation, scalability, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in designing CI/CD systems, improving reliability, and partnering with crossu2011functional teams to deliver highu2011quality products at scale. Key Responsibilities u00b7 Automation & Tooling Develop and maintain automation tools for application builds, deployments, testing frameworks, security controls, and monitoring systems. u00b7 CI/CD Pipeline Ownership Build, enhance, and support deployment processes for highly available, multiu2011tier applications across development, staging, and production environments. u00b7 Crossu2011Team Collaboration Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering, QA, IT Security, and Operations to ensure seamless and secure delivery workflows. u00b7 AWS & Kubernetes Expertise Deploy, scale, and manage production workloads on AWS and operate Kubernetes clusters at scale, including configuration, reliability, and performance tuning. u00b7 Process & Tooling Improvements Identify opportunities to optimize deployment efficiency, improve automation, and streamline release processes; advocate for modern DevOps best practices and tooling. u00b7 Build & Compilation Issue Resolution Troubleshoot and resolve build failures, compilation issues, and environment inconsistencies across multiple applications or services. u00b7 Ownership & Problem Solving Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong followu2011through, rootu2011cause analysis skills, and a commitment to delivering highu2011quality outcomes. Required Technical Skills u00b7 Proficiency in one or more DevOps programming/scripting languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Bash/Shell, PowerShell u00b7 Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda, etc.) u00b7 Handsu2011on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications (Docker) u00b7 Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, ArgoCD, etc.) u00b7 Strong understanding of infrastructureu2011asu2011code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) Applications will be accepted until 4/7/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $49,001u2013 $106,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
