Job Summary: The Sr. Buyer is a senior-level position responsible for leading complex procurement projects and initiatives. This role involves conducting advanced sourcing and purchasing activities, performing in-depth cost analysis, and developing strategies to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness. The Sr. Buyer works closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve procurement issues, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior buyers and providing technical expertise to support continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities: Sourcing and Procurement: u2022 Identify and source potential suppliers u2022 Review and analyze supplier proposals u2022 Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers u2022 Maintain and update supplier database Negotiate and Manage Contracts: u2022 Review and negotiate contracts for goods and services u2022 Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements u2022 Monitor contract performance and make necessary adjustments u2022 Evaluate and resolve contract disputes Strategic Planning and Analysis: u2022 Analyze market trends and identify potential opportunities for cost savings u2022 Develop and implement procurement strategies u2022 Monitor and report on key performance indicators u2022 Conduct market research and benchmarking Supplier Relationship Management: u2022 Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers u2022 Monitor and evaluate supplier performance u2022 Resolve any issues or conflicts with suppliers u2022 Identify and develop new supplier partnerships Cost Management: u2022 Monitor and control costs related to procurement u2022 Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives u2022 Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for improvement u2022 Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints Compliance and Risk Management: u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations u2022 Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain u2022 Develop and implement risk management strategies u2022 Monitor and report on compliance and risk management measures. Qualifications: u2022 A bacheloru2019s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. u2022 In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices. u2022 Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills. u2022 Proficiency in inventory management software and systems. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 plus bonus.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
