Summary: The Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) reports to the PMO Director ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role establishes and enforces standardized project management methodologies, portfolio prioritization, financial tracking, and reporting while partnering closely with operational and D&IS leaders. The PMO Manager oversees project managers, mitigates risk, manages dependencies, and ensures alignment with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA), cybersecurity standards, and organizational strategy to drive measurable value and successful digital transformation. Other information: Required Job Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science, information systems, health care or related fields or an Associate Degree and nine to ten (9-10) years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bacheloru2019s degree. u2022 Six years of overall experience leading to increasing responsibilities. Specific and demonstrable experience in operating and managing a Project Management Office (PMO) in a healthcare, information technology department u2022 Strong understanding of PMO workflow, processes and output in a healthcare setting. u2022 Strong oral and written communication skills. u2022 Demonstrated influencing skills. u2022 Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex issues. u2022 Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio). Portfolio & Governance Management: Define and enforce PMO standards, project intake, prioritization, and governance to ensure alignment with organizational strategy, clinical priorities, and regulatory requirements. Project Delivery Oversight: Oversee end to end execution of IT programs and projects (e.g., EHR, ERP, cybersecurity, analytics), ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. 2. Financial & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, capital/operating expense tracking, benefits realization, and capacity planning across internal teams and vendors. 3. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks; manage interdependencies across clinical, operational, and technical initiatives. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Partner with clinical leaders, IT, finance, compliance, and executives; provide clear status reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready insights. 5. Team Leadership & Capability Building: Lead and develop project managers; establish training, coaching, and performance expectations to improve delivery maturity. 6. Vendor & Contract Oversight: Manage third-party delivery, SOWs, and performance to ensure contractual compliance and value realization. 7. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA), cybersecurity standards, and internal controls; conduct quality reviews and audits. 8. Continuous Improvement: Drive PMO maturity through process optimization, metrics/KPIs, lessons learned, and adoption of best practices and tools Additional Responsibilities 9.
