Job Title: Tax Specialist - Global MobilityJob Description We are seeking a Tax Specialist focused on Global Mobility who will provide mobility tax process oversight, engage in regular reporting, and identify process improvements. This role involves managing tax equalization collections and payments, overseeing end-to-end payment, invoice, and gross-up processes for global and domestic mobility, and handling shadow payroll arrangements. You will be responsible for secondment and social security agreements, as well as conducting annual compensation, hypothetical tax, and social tax adjustment reviews. Additional duties include reviewing annual equity vesting for mobile populations, supporting technology platforms for cost estimates and assignment packages, and managing vendor partnerships. Responsibilities + Provide oversight and identify improvements in the mobility tax process. + Manage tax equalization collection and payments. + Handle end-to-end payment, invoice, and gross-up processes for mobility. + Administer shadow payroll arrangements and secondment agreements. + Coordinate social security agreements and review annual compensations. + Perform hypothetical tax and social tax adjustment reviews. + Evaluate annual equity vesting for mobile populations. + Support technology platforms for cost estimates and orientation. + Engage in vendor relationships for compliance and service delivery. + Review authorization lists for tax provider services eligibility. + Assess vendor hypothetical tax tables and tax model assumptions. + Conduct final reviews of vendor tax invoices and out of scope fees. + Annually review and sign off on company tax positions with vendors. Essential Skills + 5+ years of mobility tax experience. + Strong technical knowledge of expatriate tax concepts. + Practical tax experience with cross-border assignments. + Understanding of international individual tax regimes. + Ability to conduct independent research on tax systems. + Familiarity with international assignment tax policy mechanics. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Extensive consultative experience. + Ability to provide recommendations for complex tax inquiries. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with tax accounting, state tax, and sales and use tax. + Ability to manage mobility payments and tax equalization. + Proficiency in gross-up process management. + Adaptability to work globally across cultures and time zones. Work Environment This is a fully remote part-time role, requiring 20-30 hours a week, spread across Monday to Friday. While the headquarters is based in Minnesota, candidates can be located anywhere. This is a five-month assignment, offering an opportunity to gain valuable experience with a well-established company. You will be involved in a supply chain finance role, influencing how food products are planned, made, and delivered globally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
