SharePoint Administrator, Lead

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking an experiencedSharePoint Administratorto manage andmaintainthreeon-premises SharePoint farms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role will alsolead the upgradeof our current SharePoint environments to the latest supported version of Microsoft SharePoint, including planning, execution, testing, and post-migration support.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SharePoint architecture, farm administration, upgrades/migrations, and working closely with infrastructure and business teams.***This job requisition is for potential upcoming work at AMERICAN SYSTEMS and does not represent a current opening. Qualified candidates will be contacted when the work becomes available.***As an AMERICAN SYSTEMSLeadSharePoint Administrator, you will:Administer and supportthreeSharePoint farms (development/test and production environments).Monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning.Plan and execute upgrade projects to the latest version of SharePoint, including:Upgrade assessment and roadmap developmentInfrastructure planning and designMigration of content databases and service applicationsTesting, validation, and end-user supportManage patching, cumulative updates, and security configurations.Configure andmaintainservice applications (Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile, etc.).Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues across the environment.Implement andmaintainbackup and disaster recovery strategies.Manage permissions, governance policies, and compliance requirements.Work with SQL DBAs tomaintainSharePoint databases.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.Design, deploy, and managevirtualizeinfrastructure using VMware vSphere, including ESXI hosts and vCenter ServerU.S. Citizenship (Required)Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree (additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)At least 8 years of hands-on SharePoint administration experienceDoD 8140 IAT II-level certification (e.g. Security+ CE, or equivalent)Proven experience managing multi-server SharePoint farmsExperience planning and executing SharePoint upgrades (e.g., 2016/2019 to Subscription Edition or later)Strong understanding of:Windows Server administrationActive Directory integrationIIS configurationSQL Server for SharePointExperience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administrationKnowledge of SharePoint governance and best practicesKey CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and projectsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
