Business Analyst - Financial Services

Description We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Carpinteria, California. This role primarily supports operational desks, adapts to varying workloads, and collaborates on Level 2 projects and processes. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between operations stakeholders and IT, ensuring seamless system functionality while driving operational excellence. Responsibilities: u2022 Provide additional support to operational desks based on workload and departmental needs. u2022 Manage Level 2 projects and processes, including quarterly quality checks, audits, and ad-hoc initiatives. u2022 Serve as a liaison between operations stakeholders and IT for system specifications, work plan coordination, and issue tracking. u2022 Analyze operational and system trends, identify problematic areas, and recommend actionable solutions to management. u2022 Process service requests and research requests within the department effectively. u2022 Collaborate with department managers to evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose enhancements. u2022 Report trends and insights to help inform training needs and process improvements. u2022 Coordinate testing and implementation for new systems while monitoring performance of existing systems. u2022 Ensure compliance with business continuity plans by being prepared to perform essential functions remotely during critical events. Requirements u2022 2-4 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a broker/dealer or similar institution. u2022 High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred. u2022 Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities and time management skills. u2022 Basic understanding of financial services regulations and compliance requirements. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. u2022 Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean is a plus but not mandatory.
