Job Title: Operating Engineer 2 Job Description The Lead Operating Engineer will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems. The role requires technical expertise in at least two craft areas, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics, or Central Utility Plant Operations, and proficient knowledge in others to complete work assignments successfully. The position requires a CFC Universal certification and operates on a 6am-3pm shift. Responsibilities + Operate and maintain facility equipment, demonstrating expertise in two craft areas. + Support the activities, building structure, and development track at the facility. + Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and monitor repairs of mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, hydraulic, and control systems. + Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance. + Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain all facility systems and equipment at optimum performance levels. + Support Chief Engineer in gathering information for and submitting annual OCP, achieving a minimum score of 3.5 or higher. + Work at heights up to 26 feet and perform overhead work while standing. + Lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. + Exercise regular and predictable attendance to support team and client needs. Essential Skills + At least 5 years of commercial facility maintenance experience. + Possess CFC Universal Certification. + Certification in at least two disciplines: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Hydraulics, or Central Utility Plant Operations. + Ability to log in and out of multiple software programs using a laptop and smartphone. + Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint. + Ability to independently plan work assignments. + Troubleshooting skills to operate safely in the presence of guests and team members.
