Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations across multiple departments within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The role includes supervising approximately 26 hourly employees and 3 Team Leads in Production/Machine Operations, Shipping & Receiving, and Maintenance. Responsibilities + Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across multiple departments. + Lead, coach, and support 3 Team Leads and approximately 26 hourly employees. + Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. + Enforce 5S and Continuous Improvement standards. + Monitor labor efficiency, downtime, and workflow issues. + Work cross-functionally with Shipping & Receiving and Maintenance teams. + Utilize ERP systems to track production, labor, and materials. + Support company policies, procedures, and automotive quality standards. + Oversee preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machines as needed. Essential Skills + 2+ years of Production Supervisor experience in Automotive Manufacturing Tier 2. + Understanding of automotive production pace, takt time, and customer-driven schedules. + Experience with automotive quality systems, such as scrap control, defect escalation, and corrective actions. + Team management experience overseeing 20+ individuals. + Proficiency in ERP systems for tracking production schedules, labor, and materials. + Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. + Knowledge of die cutting, 5S, and continuous improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with PLEX ERP. + Experience with die cutting and hydraulic presses. + Bilingual (Spanish/English). Why Work Here? The work environment is well-lit and clean, with each Team Lead responsible for 8 machines and 20 employees. The role includes a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays and no Sundays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wixom, MI.
