As a PeopleReady associate you'll benefit from: + Connections and experience with some of the top companies in your area + Great benefit package options + Get matched to jobs quickly. + Competitive pay and steady schedule + The ability to see your schedule and track your hours right from our easy-to-use app, JobStack Pay Rate: _The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour_ What you'll be doing as a Quality Inspector: + Inspect inbound and outbound scrap metal loads for quality, contamination, and grade accuracy + Identify and separate ferrous vs. non-ferrous materials as needed + Ensure materials meet customer specifications and company standards + Monitor for prohibited or hazardous materials (e.g., sealed containers, flammable items, radioactive materials) + Document inspection results, discrepancies, and rejected loads + Communicate with scale operators, yard staff, and management regarding load status + Assist with directing traffic and material flow within the yard + Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area + Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Available shifts: Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady + Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments preferred + Basic knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals is a plus + Strong attention to detail and ability to make quick, accurate decisions + Ability to work in outdoor environments in all weather conditions + Good communication and teamwork skills + Reliable attendance and punctuality + Background check and drug screening required Ready to take control of the way you work?
