Job Title: Hydraulic Field Service Technician Location: Beaumont, TX Job Type: Full-time Position Overview: As a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, you will perform assembly, diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and test hydraulic power units, lube systems, and components per drawings, procedures, and specifications. Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components including cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, accumulators, and hoses. Diagnose hydraulic malfunctions and perform failure analysis. Conduct fluid and filter exchanges based on oil sample analysis. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. Support quoting, billing, and technical assistance for repair and service work. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Trade school or certifications preferred). 0-8+ years of hydraulic technician experience, depending on level: Trainee: 0-1 years of hydraulic technician experience + 2-5 years of mechanical assembly/repair. Tech 1-3/Senior: Progressively more experience and IFPS certifications (C&C, IHM, IHT) or equivalent. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use diagnostic equipment, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and multimeters. Solid understanding of hydraulic troubleshooting and repair techniques. Basic computer skills; ability to document work performed. Team-oriented, flexible, with strong communication skills. Physical & Work Conditions: Standing, climbing, crouching, twisting, and lifting as required. Shop and outdoor work environments (some exposure to heat/cold; uniforms provided).
