Description This role supports the monthu2011end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance for a serviceu2011oriented organization. Responsibilities u2022 Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and completeness. u2022 Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. u2022 Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements. u2022 Maintain monthu2011end close checklists, calendars, and supporting documentation. u2022 Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and company accounting policies. u2022 Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules, and other closeu2011related reconciliations. u2022 Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. u2022 Analyze financial data and prepare variance explanations. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments to gather and review financial information. u2022 Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and responses to auditor inquiries. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices. u2022 Support special projects and system implementations as needed. Requirements Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. u2022 CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. u2022 1u20133 years of general ledger accounting experience with monthu2011end close responsibilities, ideally in a serviceu2011based environment. u2022 Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required. u2022 Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemu2011solving skills. u2022 Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate within a team. u2022 Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
