Forklift Operator in Olive Branch, MS Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator skilled in operating Sit Down Lifts and Clamp Lifts. The role involves a combination of operating forklifts and performing general labor tasks, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities + Operate a Sit Down Forklift and Clamp Forklift effectively. + Engage in cleaning tasks during the initial two weeks, including sweeping paper. + Load and unload paper bales with precision. + Receive training to operate Clamp Truck and Skid Steer. + Maintain a clean and organized workspace. + Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. + Perform material handling and inventory management. Essential Skills + Experience with Forklift, Sit Down Forklift, and Clamp Forklift. + Ability to operate heavy equipment safely. + Capability to lift, stand, bend, and stoop, handling up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Background in manufacturing and construction settings. + Strong team player with a commitment to safety. + Flexibility to work on a second shift and occasional Saturdays. Work Environment This role operates within a NON CLIMATE controlled environment at a Paper and Cardboard Recycling Center. The conditions are dusty, dirty, and can be overwhelming for some. The position is for the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, with hours from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and requires flexibility to work 2-3 Saturdays per month. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
