DescriptionMULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE Employer: AMAZON DATA SERVICES, INC. Offered Position: DC Infra Eng II Job Location: Austin, Texas Job Number: AMZ9748700 Position Responsibilities: Support the Data Center Design Engineering, Principal Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to design and develop cutting edge concepts into new products. Collaborate with other disciplines such as Data Center engineering, reliability, QA/QC and compliance teams to create well thought out products. Create designs which meet or exceed quality requirements while delivering a return on investment. Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment. Ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries. Review and approve product design and drawings including mechanical parts, assembly, construction and electrical drawings. Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during manufacturing phases. Work with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products. Work with contract manufacturers to integrate designs and work with them to develop processes that promote the best quality at the lowest cost. Provide support for manufacturing activities for the new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations. Responsible for Support of Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting support, and operating procedure review. Be a leader within the product development team and within internal and external teams that support the data center. Position Requirements: Masteru2019s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bacheloru2019s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Masteru2019s degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) working with new product design, development, product certification, and support manufacturing for power distribution equipment; and (2) working with new product design for low voltage (LV) distribution products with focus on switchgear, switchboards, and panelboards.
