See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Air Permits Division.HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGComplete complex projects, reports, and transactions for EBT applications, ensuring high quality work and completing the required quantity of projects within established timeframes. Conduct a comprehensive technical review for projects to include defining all sources of contaminants, applying appropriate federal and state requirements, review emission calculations, drafting documents, and completing technical review summaries. Prepare special reports, correspondence, options papers, memos, rules, publications, and other materials related to the EBT program.Provide quality complex customer service to applicants, agency staff, other state/federal agencies, elected officials, stakeholders, and the general public related to the EBT programs. Interpret and provide clarification regarding legislation, rules, policies, and procedures related to the EBT program.Participate and support special assignments related to the EBT team. Such assignments may involve research and analysis, assisting with making recommendations, user testing, presenting information to agency management and other interested parties, and representing the division and agency at meetings, training sessions, presentations, etc.Assist in the development and maintenance of technical guidance packages and policy memos. Draft, edit, and prepare special reports, correspondence, options papers, memos, rules, publications, and other materials related to the Emission Banking and Trading Program. Assist in the coordination of streamlining activities.KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience with project management or project coordination.Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2).
