The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Type Full-Time/Regular NEIDL reports to the Assistant Director /Biocontainment Operations and is responsible for the coordination and delivery of regulatory compliance and performance verification services of primary and secondary engineering controls serving NEIDL BSL-2,BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratory spaces. Services include but are not limited to gaseous decontamination of laboratory spaces, HVAC housings, plumbing vent housings, APR filters and BSCs, as well as testing and certification of HEPA filtered containment systems and BSCs. The Biocontainment Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a schedule to ensure regulatory compliance of the HEPA filtered engineering controls serving NEIDL containment laboratories. Key responsibilities also include maintaining all of the equipment utilized by the biocontainment operations group and ensuring the appropriate function & calibration thereof, tracking all services performed to ensure timely completion, and ordering and inventorying all consumable materials required for delivery of services. The applicant must have an understanding or awareness of laboratory safety protocols, gaseous decontamination methodologies, and BSL-4/BSL-3 systems operations. Required Skills NSF BSC Field Certifier Accreditation is required(or ability to attain).
