Job Title: LCMS Method Development Scientist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated LCMS Method Development Scientist III to join our Bioanalytical Team. In this role, you will lead method development for a variety of molecules across different species and matrices, acting as the scientific lead for troubleshooting and supporting other groups. You will also serve as a scientific expert to the broader business. This position plays a key role in designing and conducting complex studies to generate high-quality scientific results and developing new strategies, techniques, and instrumentation for bioanalytical chemistry. Responsibilities + Start routine analyses on LCMS systems independently while ensuring compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines. + Conduct complex and challenging feasibility and development studies. + Implement new techniques and instrumentation to enhance bioanalytical operations. + Lead troubleshooting efforts and solve challenging bioanalytical problems. + Evaluate the interest and feasibility of research projects requiring high creativity and technical organization. + Direct and conduct fundamental and application studies in bioanalytical chemistry. + Monitor, evaluate, and review the scientific performance of assays. + Author scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific meetings. + Engage in scientific mentoring, including training on study-specific techniques and assisting with complex analytical work. + Contribute to long-range planning and technical policies of the department. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field. + Minimum of 5+ years of analytical chemistry experience. + At least 3+ years of experience with HPLC and LCMS. + Expertise in bioanalytical chemistry. + Proven track record of analytical method development. + Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, LC/MS/MS. + Highly skilled in conducting research, interpreting data, and writing reports. + Effective oral and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PhD in analytical chemistry or related field with 1-2 years of related experience, or a Masteru2019s degree with 3-5 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree may be considered with substantial experience. + Experience in large molecule, oligo, and ADC LC/MS/MS analysis is a plus. + Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems. + Knowledge of laboratory automation software, system software, and Microsoft applications. + Experience in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications. Work Environment The position operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, based in Indianapolis. Overtime and weekend work may be required. The role involves attending technical conferences and exhibits as necessary. A 9% shift differential will be included once the candidate begins the assignment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.50/hr.
