American Cable Company On-SiteMonday -- Friday 8:00 AM -- 4:30 PMJoin Our TeamAmerican Cable Company is looking for a skilled and hands-on Programmer / IT Help Desk Specialist to support and enhance our internal systems while keeping our technology running smoothly across the organization.This is a unique opportunity to combine programming, database management, networking, and end-user support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your work directly impacts daily operations.u00a0What You'll DoProgramming & Systems Development- Maintain and improve critical manufacturing systems (MRP, Receiving, Order Entry, Shipping)- Develop new applications using COBOL, Microsoft Access, and SQL Server- Manage databases to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security- Support and maintain EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes- Partner with production and operations teams to optimize system performanceIT Support & Networking- Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and network issues- Troubleshoot and resolve issues both on-site and remotely- Install and configure systems, devices, and applications- Support and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches)- Monitor network performance and assist with security and reliability- Train employees on systems and best practices- Recommend improvements to IT systems and infrastructureu00a0What We're Looking For? Required Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in programming, IT support, or related field- Experience with COBOL, Microsoft Access, and SQL Server- Strong knowledge of database management and SQL- Familiarity with EDI systems- Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, connectivity troubleshooting)- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization?
