Sr. Manager, Home Infusion Services Summary Clientu2011facing leadership role responsible for leading implementation, operational oversight, and business development activities for an infusion pharmacy operation. This position partners closely with hospital leadership and other key stakeholders to implement specialty medication programs while enhancing the patient continuum of care. The Senior Manager demonstrates strong leadership and a commitment to total quality management, customer satisfaction, and continuous performance improvement. Managerial Responsibilities u2022 Oversee infusion business operations, including financial responsibility and accountability u2022 Manage P&L and financial performance, including expense control u2022 Maintain responsibility and accountability for all operational issues within the pharmacy u2022 Remain readily accessible to pharmacy staff u2022 Adhere to and support all departmental policies, procedures, and initiatives u2022 Participate in departmental longu2011range planning u2022 Demonstrate leadership and commitment to total quality management and performance improvement u2022 Collaborate with hospital staff and providers to maximize census development u2022 Participate in home infusion accreditation activities u2022 Ensure pharmacy, nursing, and administrative staff complete all required training u2022 Ensure compliance with all USP standards u2022 Maintain, support, and oversee clinical, operational, and revenue cycle management staff, including the Pharmacistu2011Inu2011Charge u2022 Support the managed care team in developing and negotiating payer contracts u2022 Interview candidates for open subordinate positions and make hiring decisions as needed u2022 Provide clear goals and ensure access to training, coaching, and ongoing feedback u2022 Ensure effective formal and informal performance management u2022 Conduct annual performance appraisals in accordance with Human Resources guidelines u2022 Correct behaviors and administer discipline when necessary u2022 Address escalated complaints and resolve issues u2022 Apply sound staffing levels and schedule temporary staff as needed u2022 Serve as a project manager to ensure the home infusion pharmacy is fully functional u2022 Support nursing partners in home infusion therapy accreditation efforts u2022 Perform other duties as assigned Oversight of Pharmacy Employees and Facilities u2022 Serve as supervising pharmacist in the temporary absence of the Pharmacistu2011Inu2011Charge u2022 Maintain responsibility for the safety and security of pharmacy facilities and operations u2022 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and company policies u2022 Review and monitor dispensing incidents u2022 Maintain accountability for loss prevention activities, including investigation of unexplained losses u2022 Oversee and audit physical inventories Business Development u2022 Set goals, strategies, and expectations to retain existing business and achieve growth objectives u2022 Oversee operational implementation of new business contracts, including thirdu2011party, manual, and 340B programs Education and Experience Basic Qualifications u2022 PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy required u2022 Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing required u2022 Minimum of two (2) years of cumulative management or leadership experience in a home infusion pharmacy or hospital pharmacy setting required Preferred Qualifications u2022 Five (5) or more years of cumulative management or leadership experience in a home infusion pharmacy or hospital pharmacy setting preferred u2022 Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Beacon, or home infusion pharmacy information systems preferred Competencies u2022 Strong leadership skills u2022 Strong financial and business acumen u2022 Ability to assess process efficiency and implement improvements u2022 Ability to work collaboratively and align teams with corporate initiatives u2022 Ability to adapt to change and support others through change u2022 Ability to challenge the status quo and implement best practices u2022 Demonstrated competency in specialty disease states and service models, including Transplant, Hepatitis C, HIV, Autoimmune, Oncology, and others u2022 Experience working within an accredited pharmacy operation such as URAC, ACHC, or Joint Commission u2022 Experience enrolling patients in clinical management programs and providing continuous monitoring u2022 Experience managing specialty medication prior authorizations and financial assistance programs u2022 Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations u2022 Proficiency with workflow concepts related to home infusion pharmacy operations u2022 Strong knowledge of controlled substance regulations under DEA, state, and local requirements u2022 Understanding of compounding regulations per USP standards, including USP 797 and USP 800 u2022 Detailed understanding of REMS programs for specialty pharmaceuticals u2022 Sufficient pharmacotherapeutic knowledge to oversee pharmacy patient management programs Leadership and Professional Skills u2022 Strong time management and organizational skills u2022 High level of professionalism u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to prioritize effectively u2022 Ability to delegate effectively u2022
