Our department is aninternationally recognized leader in preparing the next generation ofclinicians and scientists in the field of Communication Sciences andDisorders. There are five part time positions available. We have fourpart time (50%) Lecturer positions for summer 2026 in our undergraduateprogram, which provides students with a thorough grounding intheoretical and applied aspects of CSD: CSD 110: We are seeking aLecturer to teach CSD 110 Introduction to Communicative Disorders (3credits) online during the eight-week summer session. CSD 110 is asurvey of the scientific basis for normal and disordered communication,covering speech, hearing, and language. The Lecturer will prepare andadminister evaluation exercises (exams, quizzes, and other projects) anddetermine all grades for enrolled students, as well as hold office hoursto address student questions; the Lecturer will also prepare a syllabusbefore the first day of class and select a textbook (if appropriate) forthe class. This course will be taught entirely online over the 8-weeksummer session. CSD 202: We are seeking a Lecturer to teach CSD 202Hearing Sciences (3 credits) online during the eight-week summersession. CSD 202 focuses on the physical acoustics of sound, the anatomyand physiology of the auditory system, and the psychology related tohearing, known as psychoacoustics. They will prepare and administerevaluation exercises (exams, quizzes, and other projects) and determineall grades for enrolled students, as well as hold office hours toaddress student questions; the lecturer will also prepare a syllabusprior to the first day of class and select a textbook (if appropriate)for the class.
