The role will also help manage and edit content related toinstitutional news for a variety of audiences, including employees. Therole will primarily write and edit three weekly email newsletters,including the flagship Inside UW publication, as well as editingbreaking news for news.wisc.edu. The individual will have theopportunity to play a key role in reshaping and refining employeecommunication for the campus community, as well as helping shareinstitutional news. Duties include: Collaborating with colleagues inStrategic Communication and units across campus to find and develop newsand feature content that engages employees and supports theuniversity's strategic messages. Managing Inside UW and The Weeklynewsletters, editing and post other content as needed and serve as abackup editor to the Working at UW newsletter. Editing content foraccuracy, AP Style, readability and impact across multiple platforms.Using analytics to measure, refine and improve communications efforts.Building and maintaining effective relationships with a large network ofcampus communicators. Key Job Responsibilities: Manages the day-to-dayoperational unit plans to align with strategic initiatives and to meetestablished objectives (10%) Creates and refines employee-focusedinternal communications strategies (5%) Maintains partnership withcommunicators at campus departments and schools, meeting regularly withthem to coordinate content (5%) Develops, implements, and deliverscommunication materials through various mediums to designated audiences(30%) Follows best practices in the creation and distribution of emailnewsletters, including planning, assembly, distribution andassessment...
