See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Air Permits Division.HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGReview routine air permit applications to ensure they meet administrative requirements for completeness and accuracy, ensuring high quality work and completing the required quantity and quality of projects within established timeframes. Conduct a comprehensive administrative review for projects to include evaluation of required documents, forms, signatures, applicable fee payments, compliance with appropriate federal and state requirements, and technical interpretation of pollutant information for accurate representation in public notices. Verify customer and regulated entity information in Central Registry and maintain internal tracking systems such as NSR IMS and Title V IMS to ensure accurate and timely records. Declare applications administratively complete and draft Notices of Receipt and Intent and other communications.Review and process assignments received through APIRT and AIRPERM eBoxes, technical requests, and other internal systems. Ensure requests are handled in accordance with section procedures and completed within established timelines. Maintain accurate documentation of responses and resolutions.Provide quality customer service to applicants, agency staff, other state/federal agencies, elected officials, stakeholders, and the general public concerning the applicability of federal and state requirements for the permitting process, administrative processes, permitting status, and the administrative completeness of projects.Attend and participate in training activities and division, section, and team meetings and activities.Assist in the development and maintenance of guidance documents and standard operating procedures, assist with streamlining activities, and represent the section and division at meetings, training sessions, and workgroups.KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience in reviewing permit applicationsExperience interpreting rules, regulations, policies or procedures.Experience in maintaining files or records.Experience providing customer service.Experience conducting research and database analysisQualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEGraduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus five years of full-time experience performing administrative and/or technical support activities.Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of the required experience.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2).
