Summary This role blends customer service excellence with core supply chain functions, supporting both internal and external stakeholders. The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing customer accounts, coordinating order fulfillment, supporting sales initiatives, and managing the seasonal bid submission process. The ideal candidate will proactively collaborate across departmentsu2014sales, logistics, planning, finance and human resources u2014to ensure seamless execution of supply chain operations and customer satisfaction. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following: _(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)_ Customer & Supply Chain Operations: + Serve as contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and account needs within the Highway line of business. + Manage order lifecycle from entry to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and proactive communication. + Collaborate with sales, planning and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery. + Partner with sales and planning to resolve supply constraints and optimize inventory flow. + Maintain and update documentation for supply chain processes and customer procedures. + Meet on-time service metrics as defined annually. Sales Support & Bid Management: + Support sales teams with quote generation, bid submissions, and customer onboarding. + Coordinate cross-functional input for formal bid responses, including pricing, lead times, and service capabilities. + Track bid status and follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission and alignment with customer expectations. + Analyze historical sales and customer data to support pricing strategies and competitive positioning. + Assist in preparing customer-specific presentations and documentation for RFPs and RFQs. + Maintain bid documentation and ensure compliance with internal approval processes. Leadership & Continuous Improvement: + Support testing and QA of ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards E1), escalating defects and driving resolution. + Assist with implementation of new programs, including documentation and training. + Identify and lead process improvements and service enhancements across the supply chain and customer experience functions. + Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Associates Degree; Bacheloru2019s degree from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 2 years related customer service, supply chain, or sales support experience. + Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
