Public Relations & Integrated Communications Internship Job Title: PR & Integrated Communications Intern Location: Detroit, MI Duration: Summer 2026, with the possibility of extension Position Overview: As a PR & Integrated Communications Intern at Henry Ford Health, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both external and internal communications within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will work closely with our external and internal communications teams to support initiatives and projects that contribute to Henry Ford Healthu2019s mission of improving lives. Key Responsibilities: 1. External Communications u00b7 Assist in drafting external communications assets, such as news releases, media advisories, and media pitches. u00b7 Support media interview coordination. u00b7 Contribute to media event planning and execution. u00b7 Assist with executive communications efforts, such as drafting remarks for speaking engagements and development of social media content. 2. Internal Communications: u00b7 Assist in the development and distribution of internal communications assets. u00b7 Help maintain and update internal communication channels. u00b7 Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives. u00b7 Support the organization's overall internal communication strategy. Skills You Will Develop: u00b7 Media relations and news writing. u00b7 Internal communication strategies and tools. u00b7 Crisis communication and issues management. u00b7 Social media content development and management within a healthcare context. Ideal Candidate: u00b7 Enrolled in a communications, public relations, or related degree program. u00b7 Passionate about healthcare and the role of strategic communications in the industry. u00b7 Previous PR or communication internship experience is a plus. u00b7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with media monitoring tools. u00b7 A proactive and self-motivated individual eager to learn and grow in the field of PR.
