Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to support largeu2011scale electric utility infrastructure projects. This role is critical to ensuring contracts are structured to mitigate risk, control costs, and support successful execution of highu2011value capital projects. You will play a key role in drafting, negotiating, and managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) service contracts tied to substation and transmission projects that are often valued at $10M+. This is a handsu2011on role requiring deep experience in the electric utility industry, strong contract negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, legal, supply chain, and construction teams. The pay rate for this role ranges from $60 an hour to $105 an hour depending on the candidates years of experience Key Responsibilities u2003u2022 Draft, review, and negotiate EPC and professional services contracts for electric utility infrastructure projects u2003u2022 Develop and standardize contract templates for repeatable use across projects and business units u2003u2022 Ensure contracts include strong risk mitigation language related to: u2003u2003u25cb Scope clarity u2003u2003u25cb Change orders u2003u2003u25cb Payment terms u2003u2003u25cb Liability and performance protections u2003u2022 Partner closely with: u2003u2003u25cb Project Management u2003u2003u25cb Construction Management u2003u2003u25cb Supply Chain u2003u2003u25cb Legal and Compliance teams u2003u2022 Support contract execution through the full lifecycle, including change management u2003u2022 Participate in stakeholder meetings to translate technical, schedule, and logistical requirements into enforceable contract language u2003u2022 Present completed contract deliverables and recommendations to leadership Note: Candidates from general construction, oil & gas, or nonu2011utility building projects may not be the right fit unless they have direct electric utility EPC experience.
