This role requires proficiency and thorough understanding of operating imaging equipment and procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining imaging standards. Responsibilities also include serving as lead when direct leadership is unavailable, serving as an expert resource, and assisting in training. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.Position Details:Mercy Hospital St. Louis - Vascular Services615 S New Ballas RdSaint Louis, MO 63141 Sign-On-Bonus incentive included up to $10,000Eligible for Inpatient Shift Differential!Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on-the-job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experienceLicensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS); Basic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Capability to make informed decisions regarding imaging procedures, patient care, and team management.Ability to lead and motivate a teamKnowledge in producing diagnostic images proficiently with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities.Proficient knowledge in producing diagnostic images with the ability to recognize technical abnormalitiesKnowledge of a variety of advanced procedures as applicableKnowledge of safe & proper machine operation.Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as neededStrong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Physical Requirements:• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period.
