Wilmington Treatment Center is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Admissions Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming patients, helping to create a welcoming and supportive experience as they begin their recovery journey.Schedule:11:00 AM - 7:30 PMCompensation:$17-$19 per hour$17/hour: No college experience$18-$19/hour: College and/or relevant experiencePosition Overview:The Admissions Specialist is responsible for coordinating the patient intake process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately, and supporting a smooth transition into care. We’re here to help you reclaim your life and build a future filled with hope.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Promptly respond to inbound referrals via phone, fax, webform, etc. toassistclients and theirfamily’swho are seeking treatment.Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.Initiate contact to gatherrequiredclinical and demographic data frompatientand other sources.Respond promptly to inquiry calls.Schedule assessments.Assistprospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when notappropriate forfacilityassistanceor admission.Coordinate with referral sources.Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients.Responsible formaintainingall thedocumentation involved with the admissions process.OTHER FUNCTIONS:Perform other functions andtask asassignedSTANDARD EXPECTATIONS:Complieswithorganizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives andmaintainsorganizational and industry policiesregardingconfidentiality.Communicate clearly and effectively toperson(s) receiving services and their family members,guests,and other members of the health care team.Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others andmaintainsthem overtime.Encourages and builds mutual trust,respect,and cooperation among team members.Maintains regular and predictable attendance.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:College degreepreferredTwo years’ experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:Certified AddictionsCounselor (CAC); Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDS) or Certified Employee Assistance Program (CEAP) certification preferred.CPR and de-escalation/restraint certificationrequired(training available upon hire and offered by facility).First aid may berequiredbased on state or facility.SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:This position is an Individual ContributorWe are committed toprovidingequalemploymentopportunitiestoall applicantsforemploymentregardlessofanindividual’scharacteristicsprotected byapplicable state,federalandlocallaws.AHMKT#LI-WTC
