Description National law firm is seeking an attorney to join their team. This role is centered around litigation law, particularly within the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, general liability, and commercial litigation. You will be responsible for handling local and national accounts throughout the state of California, managing a litigation caseload, and preparing for and participating in trials. Responsibilities u2022 Manage a litigation caseload, ensuring all aspects of each case are attended to in a timely and organized manner u2022 Conduct depositions, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial u2022 Review and analyze discovery requests, preparing and responding to discovery responses and pleadings u2022 Prepare court filings and service to counsel, utilizing e-filing where applicable u2022 Prepare for and provide support during trials u2022 Maintain accurate time records, ensuring all work is accounted for u2022 Utilize your skills in defending depositions, trial experience, and civil litigation to effectively carry out your duties u2022 Analyze complex matters, drawing on your ability to work independently and multi-task u2022 Exhibit superior research and writing skills, using these to benefit the team and our clients. Requirements u2022 Candidate must have experience in the role of an Associate. u2022 Demonstrated ability to defend depositions effectively. u2022 Proven trial experience is essential. u2022 Proficiency in motion practice is required. u2022 Experience in civil litigation is mandatory. u2022 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. u2022 Ability to work well in a team and independently. u2022 Must possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. u2022 Proven record of integrity, ethical standards, and understanding of confidentiality. u2022 Must have a proactive attitude towards learning and implementing new procedures and processes. u2022 A law degree from an accredited institution is required.
