Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare organization, assisting with key financial operations and customer interactions. Responsibilities: u2022 Reconcile insurance premium payments and ensure accurate record-keeping. u2022 Communicate with customers to provide clear explanations of their billing statements and resolve inquiries. u2022 Perform daily accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records or customer accounts. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. u2022 Prepare and maintain detailed reports on billing and reconciliation activities. u2022 Support audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation. u2022 Monitor compliance with company policies and financial regulations. u2022 Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in billing and reconciliation processes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in billing functions and account reconciliation. u2022 Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. u2022 Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. u2022 High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. u2022 Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively. u2022 Familiarity with financial software and tools. u2022 Strong organizational and time-management skills.
