Job Title: Packaging Engineer Location : Clark, NJ u2013 3 days week Onsite is mandatory Duration: 1 year Pay: $54.90/hr. . Position Summary: The candidate for this role, will manage transversal PPD development projects that may include u2013 strategic catalog maintenance updates, plant transfers, new product launches, etc. Essentially this person will be our go to plug in for the short term leaves we have on the team i.e.: mat leave. When they are fully onboarded, they will be able to fully manage a product launch from start to finish with little input from their manager. We are looking for a seasoned developer, preferably one that already has Lu2019Oreal experience and/ or is a quick study. More details below What You Will Do: u2022 Develop and manage project timelines, identifying the key tasks and milestones and minimizing areas of risk to ensure on-time launches in compliance with the Lu2019Oreal Quality system. u2022 Present launch + transversal project reviews and drive risk escalations to Operational and Divisional leadership teams u2022 Guide Marketing in new innovation product briefs and conception definitions to ensure design to Agility / Profitability / Lu2019Oreal For the Future (L4TF) u2022 Engage Operations and cross functional stakeholder participation and ownership for transversal projects u2022 Lead project review meetings and drive resolution of roadblocks impacting projects. u2022 Analyze and drive launch viability in terms of cost, timeline and sustainability (L4TF) u2022 Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new or emerging trends within the PD discipline. u2022 Drive risk assessment with cross-functional partners within Operations and Research and Innovation (R&I) to create and track mitigation plans and secure approval of sound, technical backup options to maintain project timelines. u2022 Partner with Marketing, Operations and R&I on harmonization, profitability and sustainability initiatives. u2022 Manage plant transfers as requested u2022 Communication Link (between the Division & Industrial teams) u2022 Manage projects through QCP (all aspects) u2022 Feasibility Costs and COG analysis u2022 Value Analysis support to plant and team u2022 Research and Development coordination u2022 Research and develop packaging components. u2022 Manage project work as necessary or required. u2022 Interface with all manufacturing management and associated or related functional areas. u2022 Provide Development support to team members as needed on projects; example: guidance on feasibility costing as they relate to aesthetic choices to assure timely cost effective launch. u2022 Meeting coordination, minutes & follow-ups Qualifications: u2022 Looking for what we call a Senior manager level - Minimum 7 years of experience in package/product development and project management, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or related field is required u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Packaging Engineering, Operations or a related technical discipline is required u2022 Technical packaging experience is a plus u2022 Must be collaborative and able to create strong relationships with all cross-functional teams u2022 Proficient written and verbal communication skills to be able to influence effectively with all levels of our organization internally and externally u2022 Team-oriented with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams. u2022 Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information for each project. u2022 Continuously develop and stay updated on new trends and technologies. u2022 Ability to assume a leadership role in the Brand Development team and special projects as needed. u2022 Experience developing products for global markets preferred u2022 Proficient in Microsoft 365 u2022 The ability to be onsite, in the office as this is an essential function of the position (required) Why Kelly?
