Job Description Harborview Medical Center - Community Heart Failure Program has an outstanding opportunity for and Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant ). WORK SCHEDULES + 100% FTE (40 hours per week) + Day Shift Monday - Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Heart Institute at Harborview Medical Center offers a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, and other advanced services. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS + Strengthen coordination of community-based heart failure care + Support APP professional development + Improve patient outcomes and care transitions + Enhance program operations and workflow efficiency PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Provide clinical leadership, operational coordination, and professional mentorship for Advanced Practice Providers supporting heart failure patients in the community setting. + Support program quality, provider development, and alignment with Manage patients in a fast paced outpatient clinic + Work collaboratively with the Medical Director, Cardiology leadership, nursing leadership, and the Assistant Director of APPs to support program development, workflow optimization, and clinical excellence REQUIREMENTS + Masteru2019s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing + Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges + License to practice as an RN in Washington State + National certification as a Nurse Practitioner + BLS certification OR + Licensure as a Physicianu2019s Assistant in the State of Washington + National certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA) + Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions + BLS certification ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
